About MomBlogWork.com
m+b+w is another collaboration between college friends, Megan and Karissa. These savvy chicks met while attending Western Washington University...and the rest is history. While in college, they founded a small web development firm, Rover Rojo, which gave them an outlet to learn emerging web technologies (like, um, HTML at the time!) and earn some extra beer money. (By beer, you know we mean wine coolers, right?)

Several years, several children and a few career and house moves later, Karissa and Megan started m+b+w with a lot more experience and wisdom under their belt. m+b+w is intended to be a place for discussion of the real-world experiences of working moms: the struggle for "balance", the joy and challenges of parenting, and yes, a few stories that will make the childless glad they haven't bred.

About Megan
Megan & Alex at DisneylandWho am I? You know, that's a really great question. A few months ago, I might've been able to answer with a lot more ease than I can today. I can tell you this, I'm a mother, a wife, a web developer, project manager and sometimes, a pain in the ass. (Seriously, ask my husband!)

I've worked in the web world for over 10 years now [holy crap! I just did that calculation! Getting old!]. I'm currently working as a project manager for a web and mobile development agency. Read more about my professional self at megannotarte.com.

I've got two beautiful boys, aged 4 and almost 2. I've give anything to start over and be able to mom it full time. I think. And, have I mentioned my husband, Ernest? By day, he engineers semiconductor widgets, by night he transforms into SuperDad and in all seriousness, the most supportive, loving husband a girl could ask for.

About Karissa
Karissa and MoI am married to André and have two young children - Mo and Brady.  I constantly struggle to make time for everything I want to do.  My dream is to be self-employed, downsizing and living in a beautiful old cottage home with sunshine-colored walls, out and about in the world with my family in the afternoon on weekdays. (Don't you wonder what those people in coffee shops on a Wednesday afternoon do?)

For now, I'm juggling motherhood while working full-time for a very large company and doing freelance web design/development when I can fit it in between everything else.  I'm also currently training for my first 5K (that's right - you read 5K - gotta start somewhere!) and just wish there was more time during the day.  Of course, there would be more time in the day if I'd stop falling asleep with the kids before 9pm but right now sleep is good stuff.   I'm hoping MomBlogWork becomes the blogging outlet I've always wanted to create and I really look forward to combining efforts with Megan.
